Léa grew up in Épenouse, a small village in the north-east of France close to the mountains, and spent more than twelve years in salons across France and Switzerland before she started travelling: a year on Guadeloupe, then Argentina and Thailand, and finally Australia in March 2020. Farm work and a van trip across the country ended on the Gold Coast, where she went out on her own in 2021.
She’s been doing hair for over eighteen years now and still books one client at a time, because the conversation is half the appointment. The French accent, in her words, isn’t going anywhere.
